As managing partner of a small regional law firm, Ted represented several large corporations in legal and financial matters, and has more than 30 years of Courtroom experience, He has served as lead attorney in several hundred litigation cases, including landmark Appellate cases, resulting in twelve reported decisions in State and Federal Courts.
Ted has extensive experience in Corporate Turnarounds, Business Reorganization, and Corporate Loan Restructuring, including serving as Lead Attorney for the Debtor-in-Possession in more than 120 Chapter 11 Reorganization cases in United States Bankruptcy Courts. Ted is also experienced in Creditors Rights, Voidable Preference litigation, and Chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Ted is also experienced in Government & Regulatory Law, and has a long record of government service. He served two years on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., as Chief of Staff to a senior U.S. Congressman on the Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee of the Energy & Commerce Committee. In State government, he served three years in the Office of the Governor, as Associate Chief Counsel to the Governor for Treasury, Budget & Appropriations, as Director of the Governor’s budget unit, plus two years as Deputy Executive Director of a State housing finance authority. Ted served two years as Special Counsel to a County Board of Commissioners, twelve years as Corporation Counsel to a municipality, and was elected to a term as Mayor of his home town.

Ted has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, and is an honors graduate of both the Wharton School (Accounting & Finance) and the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts & Sciences (Public Policy). Ted is admitted to the Bar in Virginia, New Jersey, the District of Columbia, in various Federal District Courts and Circuit Courts of Appeals, and has appeared pro hac vice in Federal Courts around the country.
Ted lives in Virginia and New Jersey with his family. His wife, a Fulbright Scholar and Ph.D., served many years as Curator of a University Museum of Art & Archeology, and as a Member of the School Board at St. Paul’s School in Princeton. Their son, an Eagle Scout like his dad, graduated the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, and served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force.
